Now hosting guest DJ mixes

Hola everybody! Wow things have been crazy in the D-Frag household lately. First things first, I won a seat to the World Series of Poker! Not really EDM related but I am excited as this is something I have been striving for over the past 4 years.

Secondly, I just got back from an amazing trip up too Colorado where I threw down with some other sick DJ's. Five days in the woods with beats and good friends. It was a well timed and well needed vacation.

On another note, I am very very frustrated with the local scene here. It is the same DJ's playing in and out of the clubs every single weekend. It's gotten so mundane that I almost can't even bear to go out and support anymore. Furthermore, since January I have poured all of my time into supporting local music only to not get booked one single time. It is six months into 2009 and this is the worst booking year I have ever had since I started 10 years ago. It is both disheartening and frustrating. Apparently nobody noticed the 5 promos I have put out in the past 6 months. Either that or they just completely blow ass.

On the music tip, as for me. Well I have had no time, like zip, zero, nada time to do anything with music. Although my podcast has taken off on an all time high and stuck somewhere around the top 275 positions on podomatic. Im nearing the 200,000 subscriptions to my podcast at the moment so even though things suck here in Arizona my music is making its way across the globe, which is what I want.

Future plans. Well after the world series of poker I plan on falling back into my old patterns, take a break from cards for a bit and hopefully get back into music again. Only this time, I will be taking a hiatus from releasing mixes and concentrating on production work. With that said, I have opened up a new section on my site called "Guest DJ Mixes". This is setup exactly how it sounds, I will host other mixes that I think are worthy of some airtime.
